Loveland Youth and MS Lacrosse Hosts
Division I Men's Lacrosse Coach Lars Tiffany (Brown University)
Sat January 23 at 11 am
Loveland MS Auditorium
Loveland, OH

The Loveland Lacrosse Club will again host a national figure from the world of lacrosse as a featured speaker at our annual spring youth and MS Kickoff meeting.

Past speakers at our events include Marvin Lewis (HC, Cincinnati Bengals), Sean Miller (HC, Arizona Men's Bball) Brad Powless (Community Leader-Onondaga Nation, Lacrosse Historian), Graham Harden (Nat'l Champ-UNC, DI Defenseman of the Year '91), Pat Kennedy (Nat'l Champ-SU, MLL, HC-Mt. St. Joe, Moeller HOF), Chip Morton (Head Strength Coach Cincinnati Bengals), Jay Hayes (DL Coach, Cincinnati Bengals) and Jonathan Hayes (TE Coach, Cincinnati Bengals).

This year we're pleased to announce another big name from Men's Division I college lacrosse --Brown University Men's Head Coach Lars Tiffany (Ivy League)

Since taking over the program in the summer of 2006, Lars Tiffany has transformed Brown lacrosse from zero Ivy League wins to winning the league title in 2008. In 2009, he guided the team to a USILA DI final national ranking of 13th following a heartbreaking OT loss to Johns Hopkins in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament. He has clearly re-energized Brown lacrosse, molding it into one of the top men's teams in Division I, upgrading its schedule and refocusing his players on dedication and commitment to Brown's winning tradition. Coach Tiffany was selected as the 2008 and 2009 New England Conference Coach of the Year.

As a player, Tiffany was a 2-time captain and 3 yr. starter on defense under Dom Starsia (current Virginia head coach), finishing his playing career in the prestigious North-South Senior All-Star game. After completing his playing days, he served in assistant roles at Dartmouth, Washington and Lee and Div II powerhouse LeMoyne, and was the top assistant at Penn State from 2000-2004. In his two seasons as head coach at Div I Stony Brook, Coach Tiffany led the Seawolves to a 18-13 mark and their first ever top-20 national ranking. In 2005, he was selected as America East Coach of the Year.

Because of his strong ethical reputation and abilities as an innovator and motivator, Coach Tiffany is a frequent presenter at the annual US Lacrosse National Convention in Baltimore. He is a regularly quoted and contributes to many premier lacrosse publications including Inside Lacrosse and Lacrosse Magazine.

Loveland Youth and MS Lacrosse is excited and honored to host Coach Tiffany at this year's event. We invite the entire Southern Ohio lacrosse community to come hear him speak with players, parents and coaches from Southern Ohio's youth, MS and HS programs. Admission is free.
