Coaches, PLEASE take on moment to review this note - for the first time in the Ohio Valley - Richie Meade, Head Coach at Navy is bringing the Academy Lacrosse Camp and his Coaches Clinics to our back yard. The separate Men's and Women's Coaches Clinics are on July 13th from 1PM to 5PM in the new $21M RecPlex facility at UD. This camp is recognized as providing one of the top lacrosse learning experiences in the country. The "Body, Mind, and Spirit" Camp teaches the key fundamentals, unique situational skills, and team concepts critical for any player who may want to "go to the next level". Coaches, Officials, and Parents (Parents are WELCOME at EVERY SESSION) - all of us must learn the game from the Pros - Richie is one of the best - a Coach of the Year - with a Staff of top NCAA Division I and Division III talent. The Academy Lacrosse Camps for Girls are under the direction of Mirridith Cho, former player from the University of North Carolina Tar heels, and Coach at East Chapel Hill, 4 time state champs in NC. The University of Dayton has made the V.W. Kettering Hall Dorms & Dinning Halls available for this 3 day camp. Lacrosse is a game of skill, discipline, and decision-making. The Coaches who support Academy Lacrosse strive to improve a player's bodies, minds and spirits - to show campers how these skills are applied to the game of Lacrosse as well as other parts of their lives. Campers will accumulate "BMS" points for positive behavior. The winning BMS teams will receive new STX Lacrosse sticks. At the U.S. Navel Academy, there is an Honor Code, which states, "A Midshipmen does not lie, cheat or steal." At Academy Lacrosse Camps the Coaches expect campers to follow the same Honor Code. Additionally, Academy Lacrosse has a ZERO tolerance policy forbidding the use of Drugs or Alcohol. We will have direct support at UD with Velocity Lacrosse for any equipment requirements.
