Welcome to Mt. Adams (Cincinnati) Mens Lacrosse Club.
The Mt. Adams Lacrosse Club is a mens lacrosse club located in Cincinnati, Ohio. We used to participate in the Midwest Cities Lacrosse Conference (MCLC) along with teams from Columbus, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Minnesota. But we left because of burdensome travel requirements.
Our spring season streches from March to May (and even to early June). In Summer, we combine with other local college and club teams for Summer leagues in (June, July, and August). In the Fall, we participate in area tournaments and during the Winter months, there is an indoor league on a regulation-sized field, so there is the opportunity for plenty of playing time.

ABOUT US
IN GENERAL- The Mt. Adams (Cincinnati) Lacrosse Club was founded and 1996 and our mission remains the same today as it was then: 1. Have fun, and 2. Play competitive lacrosse- in that order. We try to make sure that everyone gets enough playing time to have fun. We have found in the past that when we focus on having fun as a team we play better & are more competitive than when we focus exclusively on winning. DON'T LET THE FOLLOWING POLICIES GET IN THE WAY OF COMING OUT TO PLAY & HAVING A GOOD TIME!COLORS & MASCOT- Navy & Carolina blue; accent colors of white & athletic gold. Mt. Adams is semi-officially also known as the Rams. If you're in the market for a new helmet, contact Celtic Lacrosse to get a Mt. Adams helmet.
LEVEL OF PLAY- All experience levels of players are welcome. We have had players from former D-I starters to brand new rookies as part of the team & there is a place for everyone. The teams we play range in quality, but tend to be middle-of-the-road.
LEAGUE- We *left* the Midwest Cities Lacrosse Conference (MCLC) because of lengthy travel requirements. We used to travel to Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Akron, Detroit, Chicago, etc. No more! Now we compete against colleges and clubs in the Cincinnati area and our farthest game travel time will be ~1 hour, but most games will be right in Cincinnati. We play Louisville Mens, Dayton Mens (Eagle Vantage), Indianapolis Dragons Club, UD, Miami U, Xavier, NKU, UK, Ohio Dominican, Wright State, Mt. St. Joe (MSJ), Wittenberg, Ohio University (OU), Ohio State University (OSU) Club Lacrosse and University of Cincinnati. We also play in tournaments like the Louisville Lacrosse Shootout. We will also play any club visiting the Cincinnati Area that would like to play us.
HOME FIELD- Varies, depending on what is available, cheap, & in good condition. Our most recent home field has been the new turf field at Clark Montessori on Erie Avenue in Hyde Park.
ATTENDANCE- No formal requirements. The week before a game, Sean Murphy will send out an email checking who is in or out for the upcoming game. Please respond either way! Travel not required to be part of the team, but DEFINITELY needed & appreciated. Road games tend to be less attended & mean lots of extra playing time. Tournaments also provide multiple games in a day or a weekend, and we try to play at least 2 per year. Road trips also tend to be our best bonding time.
PRACTICES- None, really. Every now & then, someone emails saying "the weather will be great tomorrow; let's toss/shoot at X." Nothing mandatory- this is all for fun & we all have busy lives. We try to get together early before our first couple of games each season to get comfortable & put in basic man-up/man-down plays.
COST- Annual dues: $90 or $10 per game. To get your own jersey & number, a $60 jersey deposit is required. When you leave the team (after a month, a year, 10 years...), return the jersey & get the deposit back. Shorts & team t-shirts, & team sweatshirts are ordered periodically.
BENEFITS OF ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP- Paying of annual dues carries the following additional benefits: less cost per game, free team shorts, and discounted entry fees to off-season leagues run by Celtic Lacrosse. In the near future, we also hope to offer free helmet decals and equipment discounts.
